Hi we are the Harvey's. God has blessed us with a great family. We try to go on field trips and other project with our kids.

My favoriate hobby is gold prospecting and camping. Prospecting allows us to teach our kids all kinds of things. Fire safty, working together to put up tents, and many other fun projects, All of which are good training moments.

The Bible says  " Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD : and the fruit of the womb is his reward.  As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.   Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. psalms 127:3-5"

 

This means that God gave us blessing through our children and each one is a special reward from God.  God also says " EXCEPT the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain."  Psalms 127:1

also in  proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

I take these verse to mean God wants us to Train our children for Him following His teaching in His Word.  As a part of that training we get to explore the world God has made. Gold prospecting give us a chance to see the animals, and plant life, and other things God has made for mankind. It is really neat when your kids see something new.

Then we jump on the web and study about it.  Getting to see first hand the handy work of our God.

Every one gets excited when we find GOLD. If it be a little flake in the bottom of the pan or a speck the kids found panning in the creek.

All the kids like getting down under the water and dredging for gold. I finally got some hookah air the kids really like that it open up a new world to them.
